EDITORIAL WORK

I've spent most of my five-decade professional career handling editorial assignments. Now I’m semi-retired.

When I was working full time, I was handling as many as a hundred writing, photography and publication design assignments a year.

I've had well more than a thousand articles and photo features published in national and international consumer, trade, specialty, corporate and photo publications.

I've also contributed to various local dailies and major metropolitan newspapers

I've taught photography (and modeling) through a number of adult educations and community services programs. I've also written and coauthored several books on photography.

TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION

I have an extensive travel background, frequently contributing to in-flight, hotel and tourist publications, as well as daily newspaper travel sections.

I've traveled in more than 40 countries. I've taken numerous North and Central America trips, including various excursions in Canada, Mexico, Cuba and Costa Rica, among others. I've traveled to almost every state in the Union.

I've taken more than 20 trips to western, central and eastern Europe, I've been to Southeast Asia more a dozen times, traveling to parts of Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, China, Borneo, Japan and South Korea.

I've also shot numerous fashion installations and have done some studio work, but I prefer working on location

SPORTS & RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY

I've handled team sports coverage for newspapers and magazines, including such events as the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles; LA Rams and San Diego Charger games. Formula 1 racing, pro soccer games; and countless university, high school and club sports.

Now I'm shooting more individual and small team workouts, practices and competition. I like shooting dance, gymnastics, cheer and similar activities.

PERSONAL PROJECTS

I'm also working on a number of ongoing projects like my Underwater Beauty series and the Shooting Ancient Architecture series.

FEE STRUCTURE

I don't market my services on the lowest bid basis, but my rates are quite competitive.

I have 90 minute, half-day and full-day rates.

Extended assignment rates are negotiable.

There are special rates for charitable organizations as well as foprograms that serve low-income communities and underprivileged children.
